    St. Catherine's lace (Eriogonum giganteum) is an evergreen bush growing up to 8 ft. high, flowering in a lacy canopy in June and July. It is a California native and  it occurs in Santa Catalina and San Clemente islands, in rocky dry slopes.  It is an unuual and attractive plant in the garden and as home decoration since will remain pleasing withou water.  When you visit, ours might not be  in this spectacular display.
